Were inspected by the environmental health on 27th February 2018 and received 5 star food hygiene rating.

Three Bears Nursery is committed to offering children a healthy, nutritious and well balanced diet which meets their individual needs and requirements.

We work with safer food better business food standards agency and have a   5 star food hygiene rating.

Meals are prepared daily by our cook, so you can be sure your child is eating homemade fresh meals. Children are offered vegetarian or alternatives when necessary. When you register at the nursery you will be asked to complete a dietary requirements form. Please keep us up to date of allergies and restricted foods.

Good nutrition and a balanced diet will help your child grow into a healthy and confident eater. At Three Bears we aim to assist this process by offering children the opportunity to experiment with new foods and flavours. We do this by providing a variety of substantial and nutritious meals as well as introducing foods from around the world.

We regularly review and consult with the children and staff to ascertain which foods are favourable and of course continue to present new foods into their diets.

All meals include morning and afternoon snacks and are served with a drink of water or milk.

Drinking water is available all day to the children.

We provide alternatives for children with specific dietary requirements

In the most part our baby menu follows the same menu as the rest of the nursery, but is specially adapted to meet the individual requirements of each baby (for example if the baby requires blended, mashed, chopped food).

For the youngest babies we provide weening foods using freshly prepared and pureed fruit and vegetables.

We ask the children what their favourite foods are, these are incorporated into the weekly menus.

We distribute questionnaires to our parents asking for menu ideas and opinions in order to take their views into account when planning menus.
