Nutrition at Three Bears

Three Bears Nursery is committed to offering children a healthy, nutritious and well balanced diet which meets their individual needs and requirements.

We work with safer food better business food standards agency and have a 5 star food hygiene rating.

Meals are prepared daily by our cook, so you can be sure your child is eating homemade fresh meals. Children are offered vegetarian, dairy/ gluten free or other alternatives when necessary. When you register at the nursery you will be asked to complete a dietary requirements form so that we can cater for everyone individually. We ask that parents keep us up to date on allergies and restricted foods for their children.

Good nutrition and a balanced diet will help your child grow into a healthy and confident eater. At Three Bears we aim to assist this process by offering children the opportunity to experiment with new foods and flavours.

We regularly review and consult with the children and staff to ascertain which foods are favourable and of course continue to present new foods into their diets. We ask the children what their favourite foods are, these are incorporated into the weekly menus.

In the most part our baby menu follows the same menu as the rest of the nursery, but is specially adapted to meet the individual requirements of each baby (for example if the baby requires blended, mashed, chopped food). For the youngest babies we provide weaning foods using freshly prepared and pureed fruit and vegetables.

Allergies and Allergens
